It seems we are moving into a new phase of our journey in this global pandemic we have all shared. Like many of you, I am now fully vaccinated and enjoying my new found freedom in not having to wear a mask everywhere I go. However, I realize that some people are not yet vaccinated for a variety of reasons. If you would still like me to wear a mask or follow strict Covid protocols, please do not hesitate to ask. I fully understand that everyone is in a different place as we adapt to the constantly changing phases of this pandemic.

I am completely comfortable with handshakes and hugs if you are!

While sanitizing equipment and washing bedding is always a part of my routine, medical protocol, the additional changes to my protocol made during Covid will only be followed at your request.

The following are a list of the changes I have made to my normal procedures until further notice. Please feel free to request additional safety measures that are appropriate to your circumstances and/or comfort level.

-sanitizing of hands and equipment before and after every appointment

-wearing a mask to all appointments

-practicing social distancing during appointments. Unfortunately, this means no hand shakes or hugs before or after appointments.

-I will be reducing the amount of equipment I bring into appointments and bringing only the essentials with me. This means I may need to go to my car for additional supplies if needed.

-as is normal, all bedding and stretchers are washed after all appointments

If you have particular concerns about Covid-19 transmission you might consider the following:

-having your appointment outdoors to reduce the risk of virus being introduced into your home.

-standing across the room as I attend to your baby to reduce possible transmission.

-request that I wait in my car while your baby is getting sleepy after they have been given the first sedative injection.
